What is Kali Kempo?

It’s a modern training approach that combines the philosophies of Shaolin Kung Fu, Shaolin Kempo, and Pekiti Tirsia Kali.

Combining chinese and filipino martial arts creates a blend that allows for practical self defense, along with improving health and fitness levels.

Shaolin Kempo for versatile striking and movement, Shaolin Kung Fu for breathing and meditative techniques, and Pekiti Tirsia Kali for weapon principles that improve empty‑hand skills.

Who are classes for?

We currently offer two age groups on Monday & Friday evenings:

  • Kids / Pre‑Teens (8–13): 6:30–7:30 PM
  • Teens & Adults (14+): 7:30–8:30 PM

No previous experience needed. Wear comfortable workout clothes and bring water.

Safety First

We emphasize controlled drills, mutual respect, and progressive contact. Equipment is introduced as students are ready.

Skills that Transfer

Footwork, timing, and distance control from Kali improve striking and self‑defense across the board.

Bring

Water, comfortable workout clothes, and a positive attitude. Any training gear needed will be provided in class for beginners.

Do I need prior martial arts experience?

Nope! Classes are beginner‑friendly with clear progressions.

What should I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothes. No uniform is needed for the first month, and training is barefoot on a clean floor.

How do payments work?

Pay per class ($15) or monthly ($80). No contracts.
